Early Predictions for the Giants 2014 Training Camp Battles
- Updated: May 29, 2014
Competing for the job: Chris Snee, Weston Richburg
Chris Snee is coming off two major hip surgeries. Weston Richburg was the Giants second round pick in this year’s draft, and is a Center who will likely move to Guard.
This is a position of vast importance for New York, along with their entire Offensive Line, because Eli Manning was sacked the most times out of any season in his career last year, and for the team to have success, they are going to have to give their two time Super Bowl winning Quarterback some time in the pocket to throw.
Chris Snee has had some really good reports come out about him so far this off-season, which I think indicates that he will hold on to the job. They are going to give Snee every chance to keep his job. I think he will be able to keep it, however, as the season progresses I see Richburg, due to any of the variety of causes, injury, bad playing, etc.
Winner: Chris Snee
