2014 NFL Mock Draft: New York Jets
- Updated: May 7, 2014
Moving on to the team with the 18th overall pick, I mock the New York Jets
Round 1 Pick 18: Calvin Pryor, FS, Louisville (A)
A team with no true safety gets the second best in the draft.
Round 2 Pick 17: Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Washington (A)
Paired with Jeff Cumberland, ASJ could rival Gronkowski/Hernandez.
Round 3 Pick 16: Jordan Matthews, WR, Vanderbilt (A)
Stephen Hill has been a bust so far, and Kerley is a #3 at best. Matthews is an immediate producer at #2.
Round 4 Pick 4: David Yankey, OG, Stanford (A-)
If they are going to win games, they need to protect the Quarterback.
Round 4 Pick 15: Christian Jones, ILB, Florida State (B+)
Next to David Harris, Christian Jones could be a monster.
Round 4 Pick 37 (COMP): Tyler Gaffney, RB, Stanford (A-)
Depth on an already deep position.
Round 5 Pick 14: Ricardo Allen, CB, Purdue (A-)
Potential starter at a thin position.
Round 6 Pick 19: Tyler Starr, OLB, South Dakota (A)
Could replace Calvin Pace in a year or so.
Round 6 Pick 33 (COMP): Shamar Stephen, DT, Connecticut (B-)
Round 6 Pick 34 (COMP): Ethan Westbrooks, DE, West Texas A&M (C+)
Round 6 Pick 37 (COMP): Connor Shaw, QB, South Carolina (D)
Round 7 Pick 18: Pat O’Donnell, P, Miami (Fla.) (C+)
If not Geno or Vick, then maybe Shaw
